Large Artist Signed Rookwood Vellum Vase, C.S.Todd, 1919

In super-mint condition, this vase is an exceptional example of the subtlety of Rookwood artist C.S.Todd's work. In muted pinks, eggplant, purple and greens an exquisite poppy motif encircles this large vase, repeating three times with artistic variation. Signed with the Rookwood mark, Roman numerals denoting 1919, and the initials of its creator, as well as the impressed Rookwood letter "V" denoting its prized vellum glaze. Measures a large 9 1/2" high, and approximately 5" in diameter.
