FAQ's

Why "MOBIUS"?

A Mobius is a three-dimensional representation of infinity, developed by mathematician August Mobius in 1858. In our humble opinion, the mobius is a wonderful, if obscure, representation of the infinite cycle of the life of an antique or art object; that is, initially created and greatly appreciated, then often passing out of favor (Gustav Stickley declared bankruptcy in 1916), only to return with renewed vigor to popularity, demand and appreciation. And so the cycle goes.

Do you have more things than those you show on the website?

Right now, our website is not anywhere near being up to full speed. We will be adding dozens of additional items over the next few weeks.
That being said, we do, and will always have many more things than we would ever be able to show on our site. Our large brick and mortar gallery consists entirely of Arts and Crafts Era antiques and decorative accessories. So, if you don't find what you are looking for on the site, please don't hesitate to ask. We may already have what you are looking for, or, will be more than happy to try and find it for you.

How do I order or inquire about an item?

Email is a great option, but please don't hesitate to call us during our business hours for a more immediate response. We'll be happy to discuss condition, history, and to answer any questions at all that you may have. We encourage you to ask as many questions as you need to in order to feel comfortable with the item you are considering purchasing.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards over the phone or in person, cashier's checks, money orders and personal checks. (We'll have to wait for your personal check to clear before we can ship).

What about shipping?

First of all, let us say that we are happy to work with you on this in any way we can to make sure things go smoothly. We can recommend a number of excellent shippers for larger furniture items (we prefer blanket-wrap shippers) but will honor any preferences you may have, or work with your favorite shipper. To receive a shipping quote for any piece, just ask. Often, certain smaller furniture items can be shipped via UPS.
For small items, we generally ship UPS insured or USPS Priority Mail insured, but again, we will be happy to accommodate your preferences as best we can.

Do you buy things as well?

We are always in the market to purchase quality period items in Arts and Crafts genre, and would love to hear about what you have to sell. We deal straightforwardly, and pay fair prices. We also accept items for consignment. Feel free to contact us for details, or to discuss your item.
