Early, Large & Exceptional Copper, Mica and Wood Arts & Crafts Lamp

An extraordinary example of early arts and crafts design and execution. Hexagonal heavy hand hammered copper shade with rivets, tooled and pierced poppy cutouts and mica panels. Hexagonal wood base (cherry or mahogany) with decorative hammered copper bands and tacks. Extremely similar to at least one early catalogued offering by Gustav Stickley, but unsigned. Strong similarities to work produced by Benedict Studios and Onondaga Metal Shops.
Measures a large 20" in height, the shade is 19 1/2" at its widest, and the base 8" wide. Replaced mica panels, otherwise in extraordinary and original condition with original dark brown patina and finish. Found a number of years ago in Ohio in a large Lake Erie waterfront estate where it had resided since new with its original owners.
