Massive L & JG Stickley High Back Armchair

This is one of the largest armchairs ever produced by L & JG Stickley. Solid quartersawn oak, with pinned mortise and tenon construction and corbels under the five-inch-wide thru-tenoned arms. Arched side rails, and a chamfered and arched front rail, add distinction to an already graceful form. Original leather seat cushions are worn, but very much still intact and very serviceable. Signed with the branded " The Work of L & JG Stickley" mark on the back seat rail. Measures a beefy 42" high by 38 1/2" deep, by 31 1/2" wide.
