Rare and Early Gustav Stickley Postcard Desk

This is one of Gustav Stickley's earliest forms, first appearing in the 1902 catalog. This piece has an old restored finish and is not signed, but, judging from the amazing quartersawn oak ray-flake and solid oak content, we think this is likely one of the earliest examples produced of this form. Has the original hardware with original patina, paneled sides and back, and a lower bookshelf. With its practical size and attractive design this would function well as an entryway table or hallway side table in addition to its intended use. Measures 22" deep, 38 1/2" wide, and 35" to the top of the gallery.
